If there is one thing on this planet that I believe is pure, it is the heart of an animal. When you have a bond with a pet and they give you unconditional love, there is no better feeling. Your pet doesn’t care if you had a bad day at work, a great day ice fishing, or a day spent on the couch binge-watching your favorite show…they just want to lick your face and be loved by you. If there is a scratch behind the ears, then their day is as near to perfect as can be.
One of the things that saddens my heart is when I visit a shelter and know I cannot take them all home with me, love them, and make them a forever pet in the Roebling chateau. It is a hard reality for me. So, I do what I can as a pet photographer to help where I can to make the stay a little better for the ones waiting for their forever home.
You can make a difference too. How? Take a little time out of your day, make a small donation, and you are entered into the 2022 Tri-State Pet Contest. The best news is you get to spend time with your beloved pet. How amazing is that?
Don’t have the traditional dog or cat as a pet? That’s OK. I have photographed a lizard, a turtle, a rat, and even a snake. That last one made me squirm a little.
Here is how simple the process is: Visit my website and sign up for a session during the official “Contest Period” and make a small donation. That’s it!
Go to my website for more details including dates for sessions and voting, sponsors, and official contest rules. I may have forgotten to mention there are prizes for the winners…oops! There are, and these are listed on my website also.
If you have more love in your heart to give and want to share by helping the Warrick Humane Society, It Takes a Village, and the Vanderburgh Humane Society, then take a moment to sign up for the Tri-State Pet Contest. By all of us doing a little we can help so many.
